Organisations offering support

If you have concerns around UK citizenship, some of the organisations Path to Papers works with who may be able to offer support are listed below.

Law centres

Law centres provide free legal advice and representation to people who need it; most provide immigration advice to both adults and children. Central England Law Centre maintains Path to Papers, and provides specialist immigration advice for people located in Coventry, Birmingham, and the wider Midlands.

The Law Centres Network is a federation of multiple law centres and maintains a directory of law centres in other locations.

Kids In Need of Defense UK

KIND UK is a partnership between Central England Law Centre, Coram Children’s Legal Centre, Greater Manchester Immigration Aid Unit, JustRight Scotland, and the Migrant and Refugee Children’s Legal Unit at Islington Law Centre.

The KIND UK project assists children and young people (under 25) on low incomes and with insecure immigration status, to apply for leave to remain or UK citizenship. Not all cases are not suitable for the project and you will need to fill in their referral form.

KIND UK’s referrals are currently closed due to very high demand.

Refugee and Migrant Centres and other immigration advice organisations

These organisations may not be able to provide legal advice, but can offer help and support with both immigration issues and queries, and other problems that may affect you as a refugee, migrant, or undocumented person.
